Tabby Road CBD: Full Spectrum Hemp Oil

CBD and THC - What are they?

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) are the two major cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. THC is the compound most commonly thought of when discussing cannabis because it is psychoactive, meaning it alters brain function and results in changes to mood, cognition, and perception. CBD is non-psychoactive, so it does not cause the “high” commonly associated with cannabis.

How does CBD work in the body?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a cellular signalling system responsible for regulating several bodily functions: pain, sleep, appetite, mood, memory, immune system responses, and cellular life cycles. The ECS contains two different receptors: CB1 and CB2.

CB1 Receptors

Found in the brain and the nervous system, these receptors contribute to:

  • coordination
  • emotions/mood
  • appetite
  • memories
  • concentration

The ECS naturally produces endocannabinoids by itself. CBD acts as a supplement for what the system is missing, regulating natural body processes and promoting quick healing.

CB2 Receptors

Found outside of the brain, like in white blood cells and organs.

(the immune system)

  • pain
  • inflammation

The ECS naturally produces endocannabinoids by itself. CBD acts as a supplement for what the system is missing, regulating natural body processes and promoting quick healing.

CBD Full Spectrum Hemp Oil

When the pure oil extracted from hemp contains all the same cannabinoids and natural compounds as the original plant, that is called full spectrum hemp oil. It has a complex mix of compounds that work simultaneously to promote health.

The most abundant is CBD (about 90%), but it contains dozens more beneficial cannabinoids as well…

  • CBDa
  • CBN
  • CBG
  • CBDv
  • CBC
  • and more…

Naturally occuring vitamins and minerals are also found in it, which are essential for a variety of bodily functions.

  • Vitamins A, C, E, and more…
  • Riboflavin
  • Beta-carotene
  • Magnesium
  • Zinc
  • and more…

Hemp oil is a healthy source of protein, all 20 amino acids, and saturated fatty acid chain. This allows for larger concentrations to be absorbed in the body for quick-acting results.

What are the benefits?

The medical field has been conducting hundreds of research trials on the health benefits and therapeutic effects of CBD. Some of the most monumental findings involve ailments that commonly affect our patients.

The list below is by no means exhaustive. Research is continuously discovering the therapeutic uses of all chemical compounds found in cannabis.

The limbic and paralimbic structures of the brain are directly involved in motivation, memory, emotion and learning. CBD interacts with these neural systems to reduce anxiety.

Through anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties, CBD helps protect the integrity of joints and limits the progression of arthritis.

CBD promotes the maturation of collagen, a protein found in the connective tissue that holds bones together.

CBD treatments inhibit the growth of cancer cells and reduce tumor aggression.

CBD offers therapeutic benefits in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases by reducing myocardial dysfunction, cardiac fibrosis, cell death, and inflammation.

Pro-inflammatory cytokines in the bloodstream are reduced with CBD treatments. There is also reduced damage to the retina, a common complication of diabetes.

CBD has demonstrated the ability to reduce and even eliminate seizures.

With CBD treatments, weight gain and lipid levels are reduced.

CBD effectively lowers pain levels experienced by patients associated with both chronic and acute pain conditions.

Tried CBD products before?

Since Colorado cannabis legalization, demand for CBD products has boomed, leading to a rapidly growing market. Unfortunately, this demand also leaves the market teeming with low-quality CBD products that are deceptively advertised, incorrectly dosed, and subsequently ineffective.

Why ours is different.

Our CBD is produced locally by a laboratory located in Loveland. Dr. Zadina and our Herbal and Complimentary Therapies Specialist, Mike Tammen, met our producers personally and toured their top-of-the-line facility. With each batch they produce, a detailed COA (certificate of analysis) is provided to verify the quality and concentration.

We strive to give you peace of mind when it comes to the treatment of your beloved pets. Therefore, we have conducted in-depth research on the CBD products we carry to ensure you and your pet are receiving nothing but high quality and responsibly produced CBD that you can trust. We believe that any products we recommend to you are what we would give to our own pets.

In fact, Dr. Zadina keeps his own furry family member, 16-year-old beagle “Macy,” on our Full Spectrum Hemp Oil to control her chronic pain.
